2014 – 2021, SD 43 (Coquitlam) Project Coordinator

Originally from Montreal, Jessica has been calling BC home for the last decade. As a child, Jessica was fascinated building blocks and drawing, and always knew that working in the architecture world was what she wanted to do when she grew up.

Prior to that, she worked for four years at another school district in Montreal, where she oversaw school improvement projects and designed playgrounds.

With her background in project coordination for school districts, Jessica brings a unique perspective to the SOA design team.

Outside of work, Jessica loves tending to her garden, practicing yoga, and exploring new hiking trails. She loves animals and strongly believes in a future where dogs can happily roam

Employment Summary

2021 – Present, Station One Architects
2017 – 2020, Building Technologist

From a young age, Chris has been interested in the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of buildings, including how they were put together, why certain choices were made, and why they were designed a particular way. He brings his curiosity and a strong base of technical skills to Station One, contributing to the best possible outcomes for our projects.
Working in the industry while studying at BCIT fueled Chris’ drive and inspiration for architecture, and he gained valuable industry experience working on a wide range of projects. A sports fan, Chris is happy to play or watch any sport, and is a member of our very own SOA slo-pitch team. A lover of music, Chris listens to a collection of CDs of his favourite artists and bands, and also enjoys the beauty of the Fraser Valley photographing, hiking, and being in nature.

B. Architectural Science, BCIT – with distinction

Employment Summary

2021 – Present, Station One Architects
2018 – 2020, Structural Drafting Technician

A recent graduate from BCIT with a Bachelor of Architectural Science, Blake looks forward to applying his further developed knowledge of the built environment to our projects. Passionate about woodworking, he enjoys the involved process of designing something in his mind, working the idea out on paper, and then bringing it to life with his hands. This process is also enjoyable to Blake because there are so many ways something can be accomplished, and there might not always be a best way to do something, but in that pursuit, a feasible way can be found that will nearest solve the problem. Blake appreciates architecture for the same reasons. SOA welcomes his enthusiasm to build our 3D models virtually and work to problem solve while taking into consideration the trade offs and alternates that will most benefit each individual project.
