Heather began her career with a Bachelor Degree of Interior Design at Ryerson University. This taught her how to create high quality technical and presentation drawings, material boards, and spatial layouts. Her curiosity for formal experimentation and material effects led her to pursue a Master’s Degree of Architecture, which she has completed at the University of Calgary. This combination of education has allowed her to understand and manipulate how interior and exterior conditions can influence and augment each other. Heather has recently completed her exams and is now a fully licensed architect!

Leon is a senior associate at Station One Architects and is the director of operations for the firm, having gained a wealth of knowledge from his past experience as a senior architectural technologist and project manager. Throughout his career he has gained extensive experience in a wide range of projects, including multi-family residential, mixed-use, affordable housing, and institutional projects. Known for having a keen eye for detail, Leon is a clear communicator and is respected by his peers for his professionalism and working as a team player. He thrives in managing and organizing the needs of clients, municipalities and consultants, and in implementing the various requirements with the architectural team during the design and production phases.
Leon believes that good architectural design is developed through a collaborative, evolutionary process that draws inspiration from many sources to bring a project to successful completion. His accreditation in LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and training in CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) are examples of his multi-faceted approach to design.

Roberto graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) School of Architecture in Mexico while working to fund his studies and validate his degree with World Education Services (WES). Roberto is accredited through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards in the US. He is also a certified Intern Architect through CACB and is currently working towards becoming an officially Registered Architect through AIBC. He recently received certification as a LEED Green Associate in 2020, along with received his Canadian Permanent Residency status!
With some notable projects in his portfolio, Roberto brings his creativity, integrity, and passion for sustainable design to SOA. To the office’s delight, Rob’s talent is often served with a side of homemade sugary treats to share with the team.
A car enthusiast and lover of iced coffee, Roberto likes to go for runs after work, tell dad jokes, spend time with his wife and dog, and learn about other cultures through travel.

Originally from Montreal, Jessica has been calling BC home for the last decade. As a child, Jessica was fascinated building blocks and drawing, and always knew that working in the architecture world was what she wanted to do when she grew up.
Jessica worked for the Coquitlam School District for seven years as a project coordinator, where she spent her fair share of time trekking around in the mud during site reviews. Prior to that, she worked for four years at another school district in Montreal, where she oversaw school improvement projects and designed playgrounds.
With her background in project coordination for school districts, Jessica brings a unique perspective to the SOA design team.
Outside of work, Jessica loves tending to her garden, practicing yoga, and exploring new hiking trails. She loves animals and strongly believes in a future where dogs can happily roam

From a young age, Chris has been interested in the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of buildings, including how they were put together, why certain choices were made, and why they were designed a particular way. He brings his curiosity and a strong base of technical skills to Station One, contributing to the best possible outcomes for our projects.
Working in the industry while studying at BCIT fueled Chris’ drive and inspiration for architecture, and he gained valuable industry experience working on a wide range of projects. A sports fan, Chris is happy to play or watch any sport, and is a member of our very own SOA slo-pitch team. A lover of music, Chris listens to a collection of CDs of his favourite artists and bands, and also enjoys the beauty of the Fraser Valley photographing, hiking, and being in nature.

Mohammad has worked on architectural projects in five countries and more than 3.5 million sq.ft. of designed space. He has contributed to a diverse range of projects in India, Singapore, China, the USA and Canada, such as hotels, high-rise residential developments, business parks and single family homes (including net-zero and passive homes). Mohammad has a strong inclination towards arts and aspired to be an architect since childhood.
Being a lifelong student, Mohammad is always open to learning and is inquisitive about technology and sustainability. When he’s not at the office, he loves sketching, reading and working out.

Jadwinder has been interested in architecture since building realistic homes in videogames, which then evolved into a hobby. With influences in the family, including a work experience opportunity, he pursued architecture post-secondary and has chosen to be with us at Station One because we utilize the cutting edge 3D software Revit and the schools he attended, Abbotsford Senior Secondary and Abbotsford Middle, were designed by us! With an interest in computers, Jadwinder likes to tinker and push limits with hardware, and enjoys playing video games with friends. Marleigh’s community advocacy led them to the affordable and care housing team at SOA, where they are ecstatic to be contributing to projects that align with their personal values.
Marleigh enjoys many creative and playful pursuits, such as Dungeons and Dragons, physical and digital arts, photography, cosplay and costume design, hiking, camping and going on adventures with friends. A self-proclaimed ‘Jack of All Trades,’ they see the interconnected nature of life and the architectural industry and hope to continue the pursuit of education from this multidisciplinary approach. Marleigh aspires to be an architect.
