The Tofino Housing Corporation (THC) development consists of 84 suites of mixed affordable rental housing and affordable home ownership units over a variety of sites in the form of apartments and duplexes. The site features a mix of steep slopes, wetlands and old growth forests. The design is adaptive to these site conditions and designed be responsive to the land. As Tofino struggles to provide affordable housing for local residents, this development would alleviate the strain, reinforce community, and celebrate the landscape.
