Independent living conveniently located near key services and amenities in Kamloops
This four-storey affordable housing complex was made possible thanks to a partnership between BC Housing’s Community Housing Fund, ASK Wellness, and the City of Kamloops. Following the success of the 2017 Maverick Manor transitional housing project located on the same site, Cookie’s Place provides homes for independently living individuals and couples aged 55+. The 37 units complement the supportive homes at Maverick Manor and all its affiliated life skills, employment placements, and recovery services.
Cookie’s place features a rooftop patio, providing a social space for residents to enjoy while taking in the surrounding views. A small dog park is incorporated into the design in consideration of pet owning tenants, and the building features a bike storage room and some scooter storage spaces.
