chase affordable housing

Silvercrest Suites is an affordable housing development for seniors and individuals with disabilities in the Village of Chase. The 4-storey building houses 37 units including adaptable and accessible suites which will allow seniors to age in place while maintaining their community connections.

The first floor hosts the administrative office and amenity room for hosting larger gatherings or weekly activities. Scooter storage is even included at ground floor to support movement around the broader community.

The project required rezoning to locate the apartment building next to the Memorial Arena. As the tallest structure in the neighbourhood, the resulting building is well connected to the surrounding area with balconies overlooking the nearby school grounds and recreation space. This visual connection and passive surveillance helps to reduce feelings of isolation or loneliness, discourage crime, and leads to safer, friendlier communities.
