Your Opportunity
The HR Supervisor at SOA champions and supports a healthy, high-performance team. This role requires an experienced leadership professional who thrives on finding and supporting team members to engage in a culture that aligns with SOA’s vision, values and targets.
Your Responsibilities
• Leads the Human Resources team.
• Oversees all aspects of HR management including attraction and recruitment, onboarding and performance management development and training, compensation and rewards, and separation.
• Develops and implements effective HR strategies that support SOA’s vision, values and strategic planning. Assesses current and future team needs and recruits accordingly.
• Coordinates materials with team leaders for onboarding and team training.
• Develops fair compensation strategies, including salary grid and reviews.
• Ensures team’s time processed is in compliance with SOA and payroll employment standards.
• Oversees time off management and scheduling, including paid vacation, sick leave, comp time and unpaid leave.
• Coordinates SOA team benefit plans including enrollment, changes, inquiries and reviewing annual renewal options.
• Develops and coordinates SOA’s team building performance management system with partners and team leaders, develops and updates role descriptions.
• Fosters and participates in a strong team culture that aligns with SOA values.
• Manages processes for employee concerns and complaints, mediating toward resolutions.
• Contributes to organizational development, accountability chart review and updates process documentation, separation documents, letters of employment, year-end payroll compliance.
• Coordinate the health & safety team, including training and required documentation.
• Prepares talent analysis for reporting to partners and team leaders.
• Manages compliance with relevant labour laws and practices.
• Participates in relevant continuing education opportunities.
• Reinforces and models SOA core values to our team, clients and the public.
• Assists with other administrative duties to support a thriving team culture.

Your Credentials
• Degree, diploma or certificate in Human Resources Management.
• Chartered Professional in HR (CPHR) designation, or working towards, preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in a Human Resources department.
• Strong team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of human resources strategies and best practices.
• Experience building a healthy workplace culture that aligns with the firm’s values.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Human Resource Information Software (HRIS).
Bonus points:
• Previous experience in an architectural or construction firm.
